Prayer Board

Roger I just came back from my Re-Encounter with God, the one that has made me a Leader and an example to my friends of what God has done in my life. At school Im a great example, theyre curious why I havent cussed or anything :D but once I got to work, I completely fell. I sinned like theres no tomorrow! I realize I care way too much about what people think about me and when Im in the moment, Id rather please other people than God. I want to get rid of this feeling. Please pray for me to not care whether my friends think Im funny or not. I want to care more about whether God thinks Im a faithful servant or not. 4 Years Ago Commit to pray Write a prayer for this person Share

Sarah32 Oh Roger, I was completely in your shoes before, so I feel for ya! Some people have more issues than others with being a people pleaser. We all have our weak spots. Ill be praying this verse from Paul will be embedded in you heart, mind, and soul- "Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ!" (Gal. 1:10) Okay...so I added the explanation point, mainly because that verse is very emphatically saying we have to get to a point of choosing between people and God. We may attain temporary accolades from people on earth, but they are worth nothing compared to the rewards of our Father. Even a SMILE from Him is better than 20 congratulatory slaps on the back and a case full of trophies.<3 Ill be praying your dependency transfers over to God, buddy!!! It IS possible.<3 4 Years Ago
