Pastor Nick Foster's church burns to the ground, and in the rubble, a young black man is found dead from a gunshot wound. Since the church is racially mixed, it isn't clear whether the fire is a racist hate crime or a cover-up for murder. Paramedic Issie Mattreaux thinks she knows who did it but exposing the killers might mean exposing someone she loves. In the midst of the chaos, her own life is threatened when someone tries to kill her. In danger and despair, she turns to the burned church's pastor for comfort and safety, only to find that her heart is in the greatest danger of all. Nick Foster must decide whether he can pursue a relationship with the bad girl of Newpointe, or if he must wait on God to change her first. As a deadly scheme unfolds and time runs out on Issie, Nick, and his entire congregation, God uses disaster to bring about his will.
