Heaven Bound, what might this mean to you personally? The Bible describes two places to spend eternity: heaven or hell. Are you heaven bound, looking forward to paradise? The thief on the cross next to Jesus, asked him not to forget him when Jesus went to heaven. Jesus quickly had compassion on this man and told him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." Luke 23:43-2-43 The thief believed, was forgiven and saved into paradise! Hell, on the other hand, is described as "...the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth...Whoever has ears, let them hear." Matthew 13:40-43. Heaven or Hell, what great opposing consequences to our most important choice in life.
I often hear people say of those who have passed on, "they went to a better place". Only those who place their faith in Jesus are not just in a "better place", but in paradise!!! The Bible describes heaven as extreme joy, complete peace, supreme happiness and bliss!!! "...we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells." So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him." 2 Peter 3:13-14. The bible says that to prepare for paradise, we must make every effort be spotless and blameless before God. The good news is that through our faith in the saving power of Jesus Christ, are we made spotless and blameless in His eyes. Are you heaven bound and right with God? If not, repent of your sins, and believe in Jesus right now! It is by faith alone that we are saved and made right, not through works so no one can boast (Ephesians 2: 8-9). Never forget your eternal home as a believer in Jesus Christ---you are bound for paradise!!! Celebrate God's grace with others! God is for you and with you always!
